snap family skate deck

well long overdue, but here are the pictures of the snap family skateboard that i designed for them. they are a very limited run and are just about out of them as we speak. if you would like to purchase one of the decks hit up snap family on myspace or feel free to contact me directly, the boards are also available at local skateshop and park: oakland vert located on mound road. the red deck is 7.75 wide and the purple is 8.0 wide.

UBILAM project

while working at campbell-ewald agency i created a concept for chevy malibu that was urban, positive, animated to music and aimed for a younger generation. This was the concept design for the animation done in flash.

Snap Family Logo / Shirt Design

working with snap family over the past several months has been great, ive been working on different designs that the owners have been loving, which is always a good thing. below is a logo / shirt design i came up with to show the smooth snap flavor as well as a built to last icon.

Well after not posting in some time, when i said i would try and keep this updated, we are to the point where i havent updated in some time now. So i will try this again with a little blast from the past. The project below is an ad i created at baker college, the project was to design a one page ad for any product of choice. I as you can see chose the best skate shoe on the planet, using adobe photoshop, illustrator and Indesign.

this past summer (summer of 2007) a good friend of mine started a skateboard company called "Snap Family Skateboards" he asked me to do a couple of designs for them for their second release deck. The poster below is a poster that i created for a school project. The purpose of the project was do create a poster using any media we would like, for a product of our choice. programs used for this file were photoshop, illustrator and indesign. it also contains vector objects like the recreated almost logo and vector shapes as well as photo manipulation of the main image of daewon song professional skateboarder.

web duck web designs was having a contest for design samples for a few websites. one was for an autism center, and that was the one i submitted a design for. below is the design i came up with for the project. colors we selected by the client as well as the overall theme of the site to be child oriented. hope you like the design, if you are interested in my web design services please contact nick@nickone.net

Skratch Club

back in early 2007 when the talks of skratch club coming back to michigan, i decided in some free time to work on a more up to date logo for flyers and promotional items. skratch club never did come back but i came up with what was one of my most popular as well as powerful logos in my career. below is the logo that has not been seen in a long time and by some none at all.

this is a shoe i designed for a contest on activemailorder.com about Aug 2007. i never got around to posting it so now i am. i wanted to do a simple but technical style shoe that not only was unique but something that in the future could be a possible pro model or at least a shoe that i would rock on a daily basis as well as skate. let me know what you think about the shoe.

Headshell USB Drive

About 2 years back when a big flash drive was 512mb i had a usb drive case break on me. so i decided to go the extra step and mod the drive since i also had a backup 1g usb in my bag. so i took a technics headshell and added the usb drive to it to get a one and only usb drive. if your intrested in me making you one or want to know how it was done feel free to email me at nick@nickone.net or on aim at nick0ne.

welcome to the blog of designer nickone.

this is my first post to welcome all to the blog and to remind everyone to stay on the lookout for all things to come. I will be featuring my designs, events and all other news related to nickone designs. as for current news i am currently employed with Media Genesis as well as working freelance for clients such as Snap Family Skateboards and Court Martial Clothing NYC. I am also currently finishing school at baker college of clinton township for a graphic communications bachelor. Design in all shapes and forms is my passion among other things, everything from graphic and web design to shoe and clothing design are what drive me in not only in design but in style. Design is all around us and to most people they dont notice little things like the font helvetica being everywhere but its something you grow to love.
